ON-HIRE CONDITION SURVEY
Independent Vessel On-Hire & Off-Hire Condition Inspection
An On-Hire and Off-Hire Condition Survey is carried out to document the visual condition of a vessel at the time of delivery to the charterers (on-hire) or re-delivery to the owners (off-hire).
An independent surveyor records all visible deficiencies noted during the inspection and provides independent documentary evidence for the client.
WHEN REQUIRED
An independent On-Hire / Off-Hire Condition Survey helps owners and charterers minimise the risk of disputes concerning the vessel's condition at the beginning or end of a charter period. A detailed inspection and photographic record provide reliable evidence of any existing damage, deficiencies or deterioration present at the time of the survey.

- Inspection of the vessel's hull for fresh dents, deformations and damage
- Detailed inspection of cargo holds, including bulkheads, ladders, intermediate platforms, ship sides, frames and piping

REPORTING
A detailed survey report is prepared containing observations, photographic evidence and descriptions of all identified deficiencies. The report provides an independent record of the vessel's condition and may serve as supporting documentation in the event of contractual or technical disputes between owners and charterers.
