Independent Cargo Tally Count
Tally Count is carried out to independently record the quantity of cargo loaded or discharged during cargo operations. Tally can be performed during cargo operations with vessels, railway cars, containers, trucks or storage-to-storage transfers.
WHEN REQUIRED
Independent tally counting helps owners, charterers, shippers and receivers verify the quantity of cargo handled during loading or discharging operations. Accurate tally records provide valuable evidence in the event of quantity disputes and support the preparation of transport documentation.
The tally assignment may include verification of cargo quantities, cargo marks, segregation of cargo by shipment, together with other observations relevant to the cargo operation, in accordance with the agreed inspection scope.
How:
SERVICE INCLUDES
- Independent tally count of steel products, bagged cargoes and general cargo
- Recording of cargo quantities during each working shift
- Verification of cargo marks where required
- Segregation of cargo by shipment
- Daily tally reports and tally sheets
- Preparation of Final Tally Summary
- Photographic documentation where required
- Preparation of detailed survey reports where required
RESULTS AND REPORTING
A detailed Final Tally Survey Report is issued together with Tally Sheets, Daily Tally Reports and Final Tally Summary showing the total quantity of cargo handled.
